Sink
d Ink is a tattoo challenge which will be held in 3different islands of
the Philippines. This event will showcase tattoos done by artists with
different categories like Best Colored Arm, Best Black and Grey Arm,
Pinoy Tribal, Best Realistic, Best Big Piece and Tattoo of the Day. In
this tattoo competition all artists coming from different part of the ....Philippines.... can join the competition.....

In
addition, there will be also live band performances for the awarding of
the winners of the competition. The goal of this event is to keep the
tattoo artists in the Philippines intact and showcasing their skin
works and body suspension and modification. ....

Body Suspension and Modification will be the highlight of this event. Historically,
suspension rituals were performed by the Mandan tribe, located along
the banks of the Missouri River. The Oh-Kee-Pa type of suspension was
derived from this ritual. Modern day suspensions are closely related to
the artwork of performance artists that use their own bodies as
canvases. Kenny Balcita
a half Filipino half Irish from USA is an artist who specialized in
suspension and piercing performance pieces in the US, also he holds the
Pinoy Record for Body Suspension in the country .....

All
winners coming from the 3 leg will meet up at Dutdutan ’09 for their
final showdown in which every finalists will serve as the
representative of their Island and they will be modeling their tattoos
in SMB Octoberfest and Muzik Laban Finals.....

Sink D’ Ink is the 1st
ever Inter Island Tattoo competition in the Philippine Tattoo Industry.
It will also benefit the companies who will support the event and at
the same time promote tourism and eliminate the discrimination of the
tattoo community in the society.....

will also the breeding ground for some upcoming Tattoo Artists in the
country in which new techniques and innovations in the tattoo industry
as well as the introduction of body modification and body suspension
will be introduced in the country.....

Tattoo Artist Contests
Art
is the ultimate form of expression. For tattoo artists, it is not just
art; it is their passion at work. In recognition of their art, tattoo
artists who are exhibiting in Sink d’ Ink 1st Philippine
International Tattoo Convention may participate in a judged contest by
fielding in their work in the following categories -

Competition Mechanics:

Registration Form can be downloaded at the website or you can get it in any Skinworkz Tattoo Shop.

Registration Fee is at Php 100.00 plus 20 crowns of Red Horse Beer per entry (10 crowns per artists and 10 crowns per model).

Pre made tattoo entries:

Tattoos must be completely healed on the day of the event.

Deadline of registration and pre judging will be on or before March 1, 2009

Registration form must be submitted to any Skinworkz Tattoo Shops.

Tattoo artists/ or collector can entry.

Best black and Grey and Colored entries must be not smaller than 4x4 and not bigger than 10x10.

All entries will be pre judged and all finalists will be posted in the website.

Winners will be announced on the day of the event and shall be posted on the website after the event.

Tattoo of the day:

Tattoo of the day must be no bigger than 8x8 inches art work.

Tattoo of the day will be having a 4 hour time limit.

All tattoo artwork must be original design
